The challenge
The previous website lacked an efficient way to display available properties and complicated the booking process for users. Potential clients had difficulty filtering apartments based on dates, services, or preferences, and making reservations required multiple steps. This resulted in lost bookings and reduced engagement with the website.

Design and development
The design process started with wireframes and mockups created in Figma, focusing on a clean and modern layout. Special attention was given to usability and navigation, ensuring that visitors could quickly access the apartment search engine and explore the different property options. The design also emphasized visual appeal, with large images and clear typography that reflect the relaxing holiday atmosphere of Calafell Beach.
The website was developed in WordPress using a custom template built specifically for the project. This approach allowed full flexibility in structuring the content and integrating a tailored search functionality. The development process prioritized performance and scalability, ensuring that the platform could grow alongside the company’s future needs while maintaining fast loading times and a seamless user experience.
Results
The new website has significantly improved the browsing and booking experience. Users can now filter apartments by dates and services with ease, access detailed property pages, and quickly proceed to reservations through the integrated external booking system. The redesign has led to greater user engagement, increased booking conversions, and a stronger online presence for Manila Houses, positioning the business as a competitive choice in the local vacation rental market.
